BSE-IPF organises “Securities Market Proficiency Quiz” in association with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Mumbai, February 12 2021: BSE Investors Protection Fund (IPF) in association with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, announced “Securities Market Proficiency Quiz”, today, exclusively for the students of ICSI. The National quiz is aimed at furthering awareness and education about the various aspects of the securities market and impart valuable knowledge through a comprehensive referral guidebook on securities market. The book will be shared with the students upon registration.
The quiz was announced jointly by CS Shri Nagendra Rao, President ICSI and Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE along with CS Shri Khushro Bulsara – Head, BSE Investors’ Protection Fund.
Also present at the event were CS Shri Devendra Deshpande, Vice President ICSI and CS Pawan Chandak, Chairman - WIRC of ICSI.
CS Nagendra Rao, President, The ICSI, said “With the country headed towards becoming the powerhouse of progress, financial literacy has gained momentum in India. Such quiz competitions will not just provide an impetus to the students to participate in financial markets, but would emphasize on fostering focused efforts in building a financially educated and independent nation”.
Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD&CEO, BSE, said “Investor education is of paramount importance as “An educated investor is a protected investor” and this goes a long way in increasing investor confidence and encouraging greater retail participation in capital markets. Through the initiative announced today, it further reflects BSE’s commitment and consistent efforts towards investor education and protection.”
CS Shri Devendra Deshpande, Vice President, The ICSI, said “ICSI has been contributing immensely in accelerating the pace of proliferation of financial education among the masses and the nation at large and creating a cadre of financially educated professionals. This joint initiative towards Investor Awareness will provide the students, an avenue to know and evaluate their knowledge of the basics of capital markets”.

India International Exchange (IFSC) Limited (India INX) is India’s first international exchange in International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) located at the Gujarat International Finance-Tec City (GIFT City). India INX is a subsidiary of BSE Limited. The Exchange was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on Jan 09, 2017 and commenced its operations from Jan 16, 2017.
