BSE Derivatives Segment Turnover Soars Past Rs 6 Lakh Crores, Records Highest Ever Turnover

Total open interest reached a peak of 4.93 lakh contracts valued at Rs 31,081 crores

 

Mumbai, 23rd June 2023: The S&P BSE Sensex derivatives turnover scaled a high of Rs 6,06,637 crores (Rs 6,06,576 crore in options and Rs 61 crore in futures) to post the highest single day turnover in the exchange.

The turnover jumped 77% from previous week’s expiry turnover of Rs 3,42,129 Crores. Total 96.11 lakh contracts were traded. The total open interest reached a peak of 4.93 lakh contracts before expiry.
