In the exchange ecosystem, it has been observed that the ecosystem participants Stock Brokers, Depository Participants and Exchanges have heavy Cyber Infrastructure dependence to ensure continuity of the services offered.
The dependency also underlines the need for maintaining robust cyber security and cyber resilience framework to protect the integrity of data and guard against breaches of privacy.
SEBI vide its circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/CIR/PB/2018/147; dated December 03, 2018 has published framework on cyber security and cyber resilience (attached as Annexure1: SEBI_Circular.pdf)
SEBI has also specified the requirement of the circular to be adhered to by all Stock Brokers and Depository Participants registered with SEBI;
These guidelines annexed with the circular shall be effective from April 01, 2019
Member Brokers are advised to ensure compliance and report on adherence status of this circular by March 31, 2019.
