This is with reference to Exchange notice no. 20230202-42 dated February 02, 2023 with regards to seeding of Aadhar with PAN.
In this context, Government of India vide press release dated March 28, 2023 (copy attached), has extended the timeline of linking of PAN and Aadhar upto June 30, 2023. The extract of the same is as given below:
“In order to provide some more time to the taxpayers, the date for linking PAN and Aadhaar has been extended to 30th June, 2023, whereby persons can intimate their Aadhaar to the prescribed authority for Aadhaar-PAN linking without facing repercussions”
In view of the above, Members are informed that the action stated in the circular No. 20230202-42 dated February 02, 2023 shall not be applicable w.e.f April 01, 2023 on account of non-seeding of PAN-Aadhar.
Trading Members are requested to guide their clients to get their PAN mapped with Aadhar before June 30, 2023 and update the status in Exchange record
