BSE continuously strives for bringing in various policy initiatives and measures in a pro-active manner to maintain and enhance market integrity and safeguard investor interest. In line with the same, the Exchange has proactively implemented various regulatory measures from time to time including PAN based Self-trade Prevention Check (STPC) across all segments, Reversal Trade Prevention Check (RTPC) in Derivatives Segments.
In continuation with the above measures, it has now been decided to introduce Reversal Trade Prevention Check (RTPC) in the Equity Segment.
The RTPC functionality in Equity segment shall work in line with other segments wherein the second leg of a reversal trade shall be automatically cancelled at the time of order matching in an on-line real time manner in the trading system thereby eliminating the potential cases of trade reversals taking place on the trading platform.
It may be further noted that RTPC in Equity Segment shall be made applicable to securities exclusively available for trading on BSE trading platform under X, XT, Z, P, Y, ZP and ZY groups.
Trading Members are hereby informed that the Exchange proposes to make the aforesaid check live in its Equity segment with effect from Monday, September 28, 2020.
Accordingly, a market wide mock trading has been scheduled on Saturday, September 26, 2020 to enable the trading members to conduct necessary testing of their trading applications for the same. Further, it has been made available for testing in the simulation environment.
For ease of understanding, the Exchange has prepared a FAQ document on Reversal Trade Prevention Check (RTPC) which is enclosed herewith as Annexure.
