To: All Trading Members of the BSE Ltd.

Reference: BSE Notice No. 20120419-4 dated 19th April 2012 & Notice No. 20140324-7 dated 24th March 2014 on BSE SME Platform.

 SUBJECT: Additional Eligibility Criteria for Listing on BSE SME Platform

Vide above references, BSE have come out with Additional Eligibility Criteria on SME Platform. In continuation of said notices BSE is now stipulating certain Additional Eligibility Criteria for Listing on BSE SME Platform which are as follows :

Additional Eligibility Criteria for BSE SME Platform:

Stock/ Commodity Broking companies will not be eligible for listing on BSE SME Platform. If the stock broking and commodity broking companies have discontinued/ surrendered their stock broking and Commodity Broking business license, for a period of at least 3 years then such companies may be considered eligible for listing on BSE SME platform, provided they have also changed their line of business to other eligible lines of business. Further, the company would be required to submit an Undertaking stating that they would not be taking up stock/commodity broking business, while they are listed in the SME Segment.

 

Finance Companies other than systemically important non-deposit taking Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) (as per Reserve Bank NOTIFICATION No.DNBR.008/ CGM (CDS) – 2015 dated March 27, 2015 point (xxviii)), i.e. those which do not accept/ hold public deposit and have total assets of Rs. 500 crore and above as shown in the last audited balance sheet would not be eligible for listing on BSE SME platform. 

 

 

The notice will be applicable with effect from 10th September 2015.
