Asian Paints Ltd in its reply dated October 15, 2020 has stated the following:
"At the outset we would like to clarify that, as a Company, Asian Paints Limited is in no way connected with the subject matter of your email. The purported allegations neither concern any Unpublished Published Price Sensitive Information (UPSI) relating to the Company nor dealing in its securities by the person concerned.
On receipt of your email, we have sought necessary clarifications from Shri Ashwin Dani and his response received yesterday on 15th October, 2020, is reproduced herein below:
"To the best of my knowledge there is no investigation, ongoing or pending, initiated by SEBI against me pertaining to my tenure as an Independent Director on the Board of Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd in respect of Insider Trading. Moreover, the article published in The Hindu Business Line today is also incorrect. The journalist had sought comments last night on his hypothesis that there is a probe underway to which the same response has been given without any comment to make. The same is reiterated."
As a Company, we have no further information or comments to make on this subject." |
