After the news report of May 30, 2019, the Company has obtained certified FIR copy from the concerned authorities.
As per Media Report, Mr. Satish Rajmohan Tandon ('Complainant') has initially filed complaint against officers/directors of Viacom 18 Media Private Limited (Viacom) in relation to the hosting and streaming of film 'Jung' on Viacom18 Media's digital platform called 'Voot.com' alleging the same being done without any permission / license from the Complainant.
It is to be noted that the internet rights for film 'Jung' in question have not been licensed/assigned by Company for the platform Voot.com and hence Company has not infringed any copyright of Mr. Tandon. We believe there is no merit in the claim of the Complainant against the Company.
We also wish to inform that this event shall not have any material impact on operations/performance of the Company and no information is required to be disclosed under regulation 30 of the SEBI LODR Regulations.
We are a public listed company and have adhered to all the applicable regulations including the LODR and other SEBI Regulations, Companies Act and all other applicable laws. We say that we have not violated any applicable law and there have not been any instances of non-compliance by the Company. We maintain a high degree of corporate governance and disclosures.
