| Guidelines for Qualified Institutions Placements (QIPs)
| SEBI, vide their circular dated May 8, 2006, has introduced guidelines for QIPs which allow listed companies an additional mode of raising funds from the domestic market by placements of securities with Qualified Institutional Buyers. These guidelines mainly aim at reducing the export of the capital market and have been incorporated in Chapter XIIIA of the SEBI (DIP) Guidelines, 2000. As per the Guidelines, companies are requried to submit offer documents as per enclosed checklist for obtaining prior/ final approval for placement with QIBs.
