Introduction to Capital Markets, Availability of International Finance to Domestic Companies, Liberalization, Privatization, Globalization (LPG) and their relevance to Indian Economy, Macro Economic Fundamentals & its Relation with the Capital Markets, Stock Exchanges, GDP, Population Sectors of Economy, Random Walk Theory & Efficient Market theory.
- PRIMARY MARKETS
SEBI Act & Rules (Primary Market), Project Appraisal, Project Finance, Pricing & Valuation of Equity,Economic Analysis, Industry Analysis, Company Analysis, Listing on BSE, Public Issues Underwriting, Private Placement of Shares & Bought out Deals, Book Building, Merchant Banking in respect to Merger & Acquisition, Mutual Funds.
- SECONDARY MARKET
Trading, Settlement & Surveillance, BOLT, Introduction of Derivatives ( Futures & Options ),Index Futures, Index Options, Stock Futures & Stock Options, Depositories & Dematerialisation, Rolling Settlement, SEBI Act & Rules (Secondary Markets), Income Tax, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Role of Derivatives in Banks and Risk Management.

CPCM EXAMINATION PLANS & CERTIFICATION:- The passing of this examination shall entitle the candidate to receive BSE's CPCM Certificate, which will be awarded by University of Mumbai.
- Certificate Programme on Capital Markets (CPCM) shall be divided into two semesters. The Institute shall conduct two tests semesterwise of 100 marks each with 40% weightage to each test and 20% for attendance, projects, etc. aggregating 100 marks. The examiner shall deduct 1/2 a mark for each wrong answer from the aggregate marks obtained in the respective test.
- CPCM shall be awarded to only those participants who obtain 50% or more marks (including the marks reserved for attendance). A gold medal shall be given to the participant/s who secure highest marks.
- The Institute may issue participation Certificates on request from the participants who obtain marks less than 50% and who remain present for minimum 75% of the total sessions conducted during the entire course.
- No certificates of whatsoever nature shall be given to any participant who secure marks less than 40% and remains present for less than 75% of the total sessions conducted during the entire course.
- The participants who secured less than 40% marks and willing to get Institute's Certificate for successful completion of the programme shall appear for both tests conducted in the subsequent batches of the same programme by paying an examination fees of Rs. 750/- (Rs. Seven hundred fifty only) per attempt. The Institute shall include the respective participant's marks for attendance obtained during the batch of his admission for arriving at his total marks in the subsequent attempts. It shall be the responsibility of such participants to enquire with the Institute about the subsequent programmes and their test dates.
FEES:
The course fees shall be Rs. 14175/- (Rs. Fourteen Thousand One Hundred and Seventy Five only) + 12.36% (service tax + e.cess) per participant inclusive of course material and tuition fees.
