| | | | Change in Directorate | 02/01/12 11:54 | | | | Bank of Maharashtra has informed BSE that in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of subsection (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970/1980 read with sub-clause (1) of clause 3, clause 5, clause 6, clause7 and sub-clause (1) of clause 8 of the Nationalised Banks
(Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970/1980, the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services vide their notification dated November 09, 2011, has appointed Shri Narendra Singh, Executive Director Corporation Bank as Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank with effect from the date of his taking over charge of the post on or after February 01, 2012 till September 30, 2013 i.e. the date of his attaining the age of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shri Narendra Singh has taken over charge of the Bank on February 01, 2012.
Shri AS Bhattacharya, who had assumed the office of Chairman & Managing Director from October 01, 2010, has demitted his office on January 31, 2012 on attaining superannuation. | |
