BSE launches Central Trade Repository for Corporate Bonds

Mumbai, July 1, 2016:  BSE, Asia’s oldest exchange and now world’s fastest exchange with order response time of 6 microseconds, in its continuing endeavour to support and facilitate the development the Corporate Bonds market in India and to provide transparency to investors has launched the “Central Trade Repository for Corporate Bonds”.

Central Trade Repository (CTR) will facilitate End of Day dissemination of trades and yields in corporate debt securities across Indian Stock Exchanges on a common platform. The trade repository would help investors, market participants and regulators in being able to track all corporate bond trades in Indian market and would support the market development drive for corporate bonds. The Trade Repository would also make available Historical data which would help potential issuers Price/Benchmark their issues at competitive rates. Trades reported on BSE as well as NSE will be available through the Trade Repository.

The Central TRADE Repository has been made operative from July 01, 2016 and can be accessed on the BSE website.
