Appointment of Shri Sumit Bose on BSE Governing Board as Public Interest Director

Mumbai, Friday, May 20, 2016: BSE received the approval from SEBI on May 19, 2016 to nominate Shri Sumit Bose, a new member on it Governing Board as a Public Interest Director. The Board has approved the appointment of Shri Sumit Bose with effect from May 19, 2016.

Shri Bose is a 1976 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer and has served as a Secretary in various departments of the Madhya Pradesh Government. He served as a Secretary (Expenditure), Government of India from May 2011 to August 2012.  He is currently also appointed on the Fiscal responsibility and Budget Management (“FRBM”) Committee recently appointed by the Government of India.

This prestigious & independent appointment will further strengthen and enhance the expertise of the BSE Board.
