BSE Introduces DPC Facility on BSE StAR MF Platform

 

Mumbai, October 31, 2014: BSE’s Mutual Funds platform (BSE StAR MF) has introduced the facility of delivering units directly to clients demat account i.e. Direct Payout of units to Clients (DPC). BSE’s Clearing corporation (ICCL) would directly deliver the units to the client’s demat account. Earlier, the pay-out of units were necessarily in member pool account, which in turn delivered to clients demat account.

 

This is unique to BSE and the first exchange to do it for the benefits of Investors directly.

 

DPC facility on BSE StAR MF Platform also enables introduction of Liquid Mutual Funds Schemes with Daily/Weekly/Fortnightly Dividend option and Switch Facility within AMCs and the list of AMCs enabled for DPC on BSE StAR MF Platform are as under

 Additionally, BSE has extending the cut-off  time for acceptance of subscription transaction in Mutual Funds Schemes for value Rs. 2  lakhs and above schemes ( Debt / Equity Schemes) by 1 hour from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm enabling  investors additional 1 hour to utilise BSE StAR MF Platform for Debt and Equity mutual funds schemes.

 

About BSE StAR MF Platform:

BSE STAR MF platform, the largest distribution framework for Indian MF offering over 4000 schemes options across 38 AMCs covering 98% of AUM processing over 5500 mutual funds orders per day constituting over 75% of the Market Share on Exchange Transactions.

 

·         BSE StAR MF is a web browser-based fully automated online MF order collection system 

·         BSE StAR MF  has in-built risk management :  Creation of multiple branches and multiple dealers (IDs)

·         In BSE StAR MF Investor gets to view all his /her investments in one single location (that too electronically) – can use same demat account as that for equity shares.

·         Investor gets full service from broker – no need to go to one broker for equity shares and another for Mutual Funds – broker is one stop shop.

 

For FY 14-15 i.e. 1st April to 30th October,  Over 7,33,000 orders aggregating to over Rs. 6000 Crs has been transitioned on BSE StAR MF Platform,  witnessing a growth of 300% YoY basis a

 

More than 1,40,000 SIPs / X-SIPs registered on the platform as on 30th October, 2014, witnessing a growth of 400% year on year basis.
