Further to the Notice no 20110928/1 dated September 28, 2011 on incentive pay-out process for Liquidity Enhancement Incentive Programme LEIPS – I (Beta) & LEIPS – (II), LEIPS Members are hereby requested to note following while claiming the Service Tax refunds.
LEIPS Members desirous of claiming service tax refund are required to submit service tax invoices on fortnightly basis. The first applicable fortnight is September 15, 2011 – September 30, 2011 wherein LEIPS members can claim service tax refunds for payouts disbursed to them from September 28, 2011 to September 30, 2011.
The service tax invoice must include following details:
- Service Tax Invoice should be addressed in the name of ‘BSE Ltd’
- Date of the Invoice
- Service Tax Invoice No.
- Service Tax Registration Number of LEIPS member
- Category of Service/description of service – ‘Business Auxiliary Services’
- Period for which service tax is claimed
- Break up of service tax claimed into following components
- Service Tax,
- Education Cess,
- Secondary Higher Education Cess,
- Total Service Tax Amount Claimed
- Signature of Authorised Signatory
- Invoice should be prepared on official letterhead of the company
It has been noticed that many LEIPS Members have still not submitted their service tax invoices for the period September 28, 2011 to September 30, 2011.
LEIPS Members are hereby requested to submit their service tax invoice at the earliest for better compliance with service tax regulations and to enable the Exchange to credit service tax refunds as applicable.
