The Exchange is in receipt of a communication from the Protean eGov Technologies Limited regarding changes in the PAN verification methodology. To facilitate these changes, certain modifications have been made in the Unique Client Code (UCC) file structure.
These changes shall be effective from March 28, 2024, End of the day i.e. UCC uploaded/modified w.e.f. March 28, 2024 End of the day should be done in the new file format only.

Further, the following points need to be noted:
- PAN verification shall be considered as successful only when the status of all the 3 parameters i.e. PAN, Client Name, Client Date of Birth /Incorporation/Registration are successfully verified. i.e they should match with the details on Protean.
- Any modification/amendments to the Client Name and Date of Birth, Date of Incorporation /Registration can be done only by way of Unfreeze requests. The revised details shall be verified again with Protean.
The revised batch upload/modification file format for the UCC is attached as Annexure with changes highlighted - "UCC Batch File format." while carrying out new registration/ any modification in existing UCC:
In this regard, Trading Members are once again informed to take note of the above changes as the existing format shall be discontinued & new structure shall be implemented from March 28, 2024 , End of the day.
Kindly note that the records uploaded/modified in old format shall not be accepted with effect from March 28, 2024, End of the day.
