| Exchange Disseminated Time | The Exchange has sought clarification from CESC Ltd with respect to news article appearing in DNA on October 20, 2014 titled "CESC eyes coal blocks, troubled power plants."
CESC Ltd replied:
"While full implications of the above Judgement / Order are being ascertained, the Company will take suitable action for discharging its obligations as a distribution licensee under the Electricity Act, 2003. The Company is also keeping its legal options open and depending upon legal advice may file appropriate application / petition against the Judgement passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court. If and when the cancelled coal blocks are put up for auction by the authorities, the Company will examine putting in its bid, if considered so appropriate at that stage.
No decision has been taken on acquiring any stressed power project." |
