| Exchange Disseminated Time | The Exchange had sought clarification from Lupin Ltd with respect to news article appearing in The Economic Times on February 25, 2016 titled "Lupin Plans to Step Up Japanese Play"
Lupin Ltd replied stating "We wish to state that Kyowa Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd., Japan, ('Kyowa'), wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company has a Plant at Sanda, Japan.
In order to meet the rapidly growing demand of generics, the Kyowa Board has proposed the setting-up of a 2 Bn. Tablets capacity Plant at Tottori, Japan which would be designed to efficiently handle mass volume products and provide flexibility in allowing easy future expansion." |
