"Shilpa has signed an agreement with The United Nations-backed Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) and Gilead Sciences to increase access to medicines for HIV/AIDS treatment.
Shilpa Medicare Limited (SML) will now be able to produce five key HIV medicines i.e. Tenofovir, Emtricitabine, Cobicistat, Elvitegravir and a combination of the four, known as "the Quad" for sale in over 100 countries, depending on the medicine.
SML will be able to produce similar version of above drugs at a lower price once technology is transferred.
These products will be marketed through Reva Pharma an associate Company of SML
With above development SML will be able to utilize its expanded capacities and expect to improve working . It will also be able to expand its business in various countries." |
