BSE contributes Rupees One Crore to Tsunami Relief Fund
** Employees donate one day's salary **

Last Sunday's devastating Tsunami has wreaked enormous damage and loss of human lives in India and several countries in Asia. The damage caused may be irreparable for the families who have lost their near and dear ones, but India now faces the task of rehabilitation of the survivors.

BSE, The Stock Exchange, Mumbai, like in the past, be it Orissa Cyclone or Gujarat Earthquake has always lent a helping hand in the rehabilitation process. BSE has decided to donate Rupees One Crore to the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Moreover, BSE employees will voluntarily contribute one day's salary towards the same cause.

Announcing the donation Mr. Rajnikant Patel, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer said, "As our hearts goes out to the victims, we at BSE want to participate in the rebuilding of the lives in the ravaged southern parts of our country and the Andamans. We stand by the entire nation to do our bit and contribute in our own humble way to help in mitigating the sufferings of our fellow countrymen."
