Media Release Three new Public Interest Directors join the Board of Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, inducted Mr. C. M. Vasudev, Mr. Jamshyd N. Godrej and Mr. Vivek Kulkarni as Public Interest Directors on its Board. Welcoming their appointment, Mr. Rajnikant Patel, Managing Director and CEO of BSE said, “ We are honoured to have Mr. Vasudev, Mr. Godrej and Mr. Kulkarni on our Board. Corporate BSE will draw upon their rich professional experience and expertise in their respective fields to its advantage.“ Brief Profiles: Mr. C. M. Vasudev is a retired Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer and holds a Masters Degree in economics and Physics. He worked as the Executive Director World Bank representing India , Bangladesh , Sri Lanka and Bhutan and was designated as the chairman of the Bank's committee on developing effectiveness. Prior to that he was the Secretary, Ministry of Finance. He served as a Director on the boards of Reserve Bank of India, State Bank of India, ICICI, Industrial Development Bank of India, Infrastructure Development Finance company, National Housing Bank and NABARD. Mr. Jamshyd N. Godrej is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, USA . At the young age of 25, he joined the Board of Management of Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. as a director and became the Chairman of the Board in 2000. Mr. Godrej is the President of, World Wide Fund for Nature – India and Vice President, World Wide Fund for Nature – International. He is also the Chairman of Aspen Institute – India . He has been the past president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association. The President of India honoured Mr. Godrej with the “Padma Bhushan” in 2003. Mr. Vivek Kulkarni is a retired Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer, Maharashtra Cadre. He holds an MBA degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania . Mr. Kulkarni has a rich experience in managing different verticals of Business and Government departments, from a finance professor at the Boston University , IIM ( Bangalore ) to heading CRISIL Advisory Services as well as the division chief of SEBI and the Secretary for Finance and IT, Govt. of Karnataka. He developed a risk return model to assess the performance of mutual funds for AMFI. He is the Chairman and CEO of Brickwork, a KPO based in Bangalore .
