SEBI's notification on Broker Directors on the BSE Governing Board

Elections to the Governing Board to fill three vacancies for the year 2001-2002 were held today and the results were notified to the members vide the Exchange notice no. 81725/2001 dated the 28th March, 2001.

Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) vide its letter no. SMDRP/BSE/25960/2001 dated the 28th March, 2001 has directed that the brokers are restrained from acting as Directors of the Governing Board of the Stock Exchange, Mumbai.
