One day training programme on "Compliance in Corporate Governance" BSE Training Institute (BTI) is launching a one day training programme on "Compliance in Corporate Governance" on 4th September 2002, for the benefit of the Directors, Company Secretaries, Consultants, Professionals and other Capital Market Intermediaries at a nominal fees of Rs. 2,000 per participant. Corporate Governance assumes great significance in the background of enhancing shareholders wealth and increasing accountability of the corporate activity. Following adoption of wide range of economic reforms in India, the subject of corporate Governance gained enormous interest with particular reference to capital markets, where the code of governance drafted by the regulatory authorities is taken up for the monitoring by the stock exchanges. The training programme is designed to equip participants with a broad conceptual framework and understanding of the principles of Corporate Governance with the focus on Compliance Issues. The course broadly covers Codes of Corporate governance, Role of Management & board of directors, Interpretation of related clauses in Listing Agreement:- Compliance / Disclosure Requirements in Corporate Governance, Compliance Requirements for Mergers & Amalgamations, De-Merger, Stock-split, Consolidation, Bonus and Rights, Compliance requirements for Insider trading, Quarterly Results and related disclosures. The course will be conducted from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on the date mentioned above at BSE Training Institute on 21st Floor of the Exchange.
