BSE Training Launches 100th Programme on Derivatives BSE Training Institute, the training division of The Stock Exchange, Mumbai set a new benchmark in capital market training with the launch of the 100th programme on Derivatives. Established in 1989, to provide training to member brokers of the Exchange, over the period, it emerged as a premier facility in financial and capital market training, that caters to a wide range of intermediaries in the capital markets and the financial sector. Currently it offers 24 courses, most of these short term, on various topics such as Derivatives: Options and Futures, Debt Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, Foreign Exchange Risk Management, Compliance in Corporate Governance, Technical & Fundamental Analysis, Equity Portfolio Structuring and Stock Picking, Advanced Programme on Technical Analysis, Financial Innovations, BOLT Operations, Certificate Course on Stock Markets, Mutual Funds, Dematerialization & Depositories etc. Jointly with Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, it offers a unique three month part-time Certificate Programme on Capital Markets, in which successful participants are awarded certificates by University of Mumbai. In the medium term, BSE Training is laying greater thrust on enhancing the range of training products and also strengthen financial certification, which is being mandated by the regulators for all the capital market intermediaries. It is creating exclusive infrastructure for expanding the scope of certification and also investing in design and development of new generation training in capital markets. It is exploring possibilities for joint initiatives with leading Indian and International institutions and professionals in carrying out advanced training in areas such as risk management, financial management and international capital markets. BSE Training is also coordinating the production of the Talking Stock, a weekly programme aired in Zee News every Friday at 3.30 pm with repeat telecast on Monday at 3.30 pm.
