SEBI vide its letter No.SMDRP/Policy/Cir-35616/01 dated the 31^st August 2001 had advised the Stock Exchanges to amend the Clause 41 of the Listing Agreement to provide for furnishing of segment wise revenue, results and capital employed by the listed companies in the quarterly financial results with effect from quarters ending on or after September 30, 2001. This was advised to the companies listed on the Exchange vide Exchange press release dated the 21^st September 2001 and a circular was sent to individual companies.

SEBI vide its letter No.SMDRP/Policy/Cir-48/2001 dated the 19^th October 2001 has decided that the requirement of Segment wise Reporting for the quarter ended on 30^th September, 2001 would be voluntary. Accordingly, the companies listed on the Exchange are advised to take note of the above.
