BSE pledge support to Gujarat reconstruction Officials and Members of The Stock Exchange, Mumbai led by Mr.Anand Rathi, President and Mrs. Deena Mehta, Vice President, met the Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Keshubhai Patel, today at the "Sahyadri", Maharashtra State Guest House, in Mumbai. Present at the meeting also were Mr. Kirit Somaiya, MP from Mumbai, and other Gujarat Government Officials.BSE and its Members, assured the Chief Minister of the best possible help in the Gujarat State Government's scheme for "Public Private Partnership for Reconstruction of Earthquake Affected Gujarat" and indicated that BSE may contribute Rs.3 to Rs. 4 crores, and under the scheme of Gujarat Government may like to take up projects worth Rs. 7 to Rs. 8 crores. A team of BSE Officials and Members will shortly visit the earthquake affected areas and decide on the suitable project in co-ordination with Gujarat Earthquake Relief Co-Ordination Cell and the Gujarat Government. The BSE group expressed its firm solidarity in coming forward to help the people of Gujarat. BSE has always been in the forefront in the providing relief in national calamities such as the Kargil War and Orissa Cyclone.
