BSE Training Institute (BTI) and Jamnalal Bajaj join hands to empower capital market participants.

India's premier educational powerhouses BSE Training Institute (BTI) and Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) have joined hands to educate capital market participants through a three month Certification Programme on Capital Markets (CPCM). The course would be the first programme in the country on Capital Markets to be certified by the University of Mumbai.

The training programme would be divided into 5 modules namely Macro Economics, Primary Market, Secondary Market, Regulatory Framework for Capital Markets and Related areas of Capital Market. The sessions in each module shall comprise of twenty percent basic, thirty percent intermediary and fifty percent advanced teaching.

The venue of the programme would be at the BTI / JBIMS, from 6.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. five days a week from Monday to Friday. The first programme is scheduled to commence on Monday, February 11th 2002.

The course contents would demystify the capital markets - which would help to create a stronger capital market. Besides, the participants would be empowered to make more informed financial investment decisions.

Commenting on the tie-up, Dr. Manoj Vaish, Deputy Executive Director says, "BTI ceaselessly strives to develop programmes of high quality for the capital market participants. By entering into alliances with reputed institutions such as JBIMS having similar objectives, we will enhance the service to our capital market participants."

Dr. H. Santhanam, Director-JBIMS, states, "JBIMS is considered to be unique in management education. Our tie-up with BTI will take our educational efforts to a newer dimension in the capital markets. And we believe that the CPCM course will help us achieve our goals of delivering education by strengthening the academia-capital market linkages."

With these objectives in mind, the BSE Training Institute (BTI) was set-up on 3rd January 1989.
