Bse Opens Investor Service Centre At Kolkata In a significant move to expand its investor services nationwide, The Stock Exchange, Mumbai (BSE) inaugurated an exclusive centre for investor services in Kolkata on September 19, 2003. The Centre was inaugurated by Shri S.C.Das Executive Director, Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Outside Mumbai, the Exchange already has Investor Service Centres in Delhi and Cochin and has plans for all major financial centres in the country. The Investor Service Centre in the metropolis of Kolkata marks a major development in expanding the scope and reach of BSE services to investors located in the eastern parts of India and serving them at their doorstep. BSE, a forerunner in creating investor awareness, has conducted 125 programmes in the financial year 2002-2003 across the country and has planned many more in the current financial year. The Exchange is also an active partner in the Securities Market Awareness Campaign launched by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
