The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Realty Index on July 9, 2007 to mark its 133rd Foundation Day. The 'BSE Realty Index' on first day after its launch opened at 7353.81 and touched an intra-day high of 7447.75 to close the day at 7377.53, up by 43.56 points, 0.59% from its previous close of 7333.97. It touched an intra-day low of 7340.99.
