BSE Bids Farewell to Mr. A.N. Joshi The Stock Exchange, Mumbai (BSE) hosted a farewell for the Executive Director, Mr. A.N. Joshi on August 6, 2002 on completion of his 3 years tenure as Executive Director. Mr. Joshi was appointed as Executive Director of 'The Stock Exchange, Mumbai' (BSE) on 7th August, 1999 for a period of three years. During his tenure at the Exchange as Executive Director, the Exchange witnessed introduction of new products like Derivatives, Government Securities, Internet Trading, settlement reforms like weekly settlement to T+5 and T+3 Rolling Settlements. Prior to joining BSE, Mr. Joshi was with the SBI for 37 years. He also had two assignments in State Bank of India at Kuwait (2 years) and Singapore (2 years) in Forex, Money Market and Credit Operations. He held important positions in Credit, Forex, Administration, Training and Control functions in State Bank of India at Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Kuwait and Singapore. The Governing Board of BSE, with the prior approval of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has constituted a Selection Committee to finalise the appointment of a new Executive Director for the Exchange. Till such time, the new Executive Director is appointed and he joins his duties, Dr. Manoj Vaish, Deputy Executive Director, BSE, will exercise the duties and powers of the Executive Director as the "Acting Executive Director" of the Exchange.
