The news item appearing on the front page of Business Standard dated 5th October, 2000 is factually incorrect and misleading.

In the meeting at SEBI yesterday, no discussion was held about the likely date of introduction of the Rolling Settlement. It is further clarified that BSE has not asked for any extension of time for introduction of Carry-Forward in Rolling Settlement beyond the SEBI's stipulated time frame.
