Sharedeal Financial Consultants and Orient Shares declared defaulters The Exchange has today declared Sharedeal Financial Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (Clg. No. 794) and Orient Shares & Stock Brokers Ltd. (Clg. No. 180), members of the Exchange as defaulters under Rules, Bye-laws and Regulations of the Exchange for non-fulfillment of their obligations on the Exchange.These members were restrained from doing business on the Exchange by de-activating their trading terminals w.e.f. March 14, 2001. Those members/investors who have any outstanding claims against defaulters - Sharedeal Financial Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Orient Shares & Stock Brokers Ltd. are advised to immediately obtain arbitration awards in their favour for their claims and then submit the same supported by arbitration awards to the Defaulters' Committee of the Exchange for its consideration. The members/investors are advised to file their claims with the Arbitration Committee within a period of six months from the date of this Press Release. If the claims are not submitted within the stipulated period, the same will not be considered by the Defaulters' Committee. These claims should be filed with Dy. General Manager, Investors Services Cell, 1st Floor, Rotunda Bldg., Dalal Street, Fort, Mumbai 400 001. Those members/investors who have already obtained such arbitration awards in their favour, but have not submitted their claims to the Defaulters' Committee, are advised to submit the same duly supported by the arbitration award to the Defaulters' Committee for its consideration immediately and in any case not later than October 4, 2001. In case of future company objections arising against the above defaulters, the members/investors should obtain arbitration awards in their favour within six months from the date of objection memos of the companies and file the same with the Defaulters' Committee for its consideration. If no such claims are submitted to the Defaulters' Committee within the stipulated period, the Committee will not consider the same. A.N. Joshi August 4, 2001
