BSE opens Investor Services Centre at Cochin

BSE in a significant move, to expand its investor services nationwide, has opened an exclusive centre for investor services in Cochin on April 4, 2003 at 4th Floor, M.S.E., Dr. P.K.Adsul Gafoor Memorial Culture Complex, Judges Avenue, Kaloor , Cochin- 682 017 (Tel: 240 5275). It is planning to open an investor service center in all major financial centers in India.

The Investor Service Centers marks a major development in expanding the scope and reach of BSE services to investor located in different parts of the country. These centre as are envisaged to provide services to the investor and are designed to offer complete range of services, which include:

  • Provision of time bound and personalized services to the investors with improved quality in respect to equity, derivatives and debt.

  • Single window to answer all queries related to stock market.

  • Accept and Redress Investor grievances and act as an information center.

  • Sale of publications of the Exchange and free distribution of informative and educative materials.

  • Organize Investor Awareness and other Training Programs.

  • Organize presentations/lectures/seminars on capital markets.

  • Provide BOLT terminal for viewing the transactions of the Exchange.

On the opening of such centre, second after New Delhi outside Mumbai" this initiative is a reflection of the keen commitment of BSE towards enhancing the reach of BSE's services across the nation and addressing to the needs of the investors at their door step". The centre is inaugurated by Shri. S.S.Thakur, Chairman(CDSL) and Members of the BSE Governing Board representing the public, who said that he is immensely happy with the opening of this centre, which will cater to a large number of investing public in Cochin and the nearby towns.

The Stock Exchange, Mumbai (BSE) a forerunner in creating and furthering Investor Awareness and Education has been conducting Investor Awareness Programs for creating awareness amongst the Investors. The Exchange has planned to conduct 125 such programs in the financial year 2003 -2004 out of which 33 programs have already been planned in the Gujarat State for the month of April 2003.
