BSE Listing norms for IPO

The Governing Board of the Exchange in its meeting held on 25th February, 2002 has decided that for new companies the threshold limit for listing on this Exchange will be as follows with immediate effect :

Category I ( for companies with post issue equity capital of Rs.10 crs. and above)

  1. Post issue capital of Rs.10 crores,
  2. Post issue networth of Rs.20 crores and
  3. The project/activity of the applicant must have been appraised by a financial institution as described in Section 4(a) of the Companies Act, 1956 or State Finance Corporation or Scheduled Commercial Bank with a paid-up capital of Rs.50 crores or Category I Merchant Banker with a networth of Rs.10 crores."
Category II ( for companies with post issue equity capital of Rs.5 crores and above, but less than Rs.10 crores)
  1. Post issue capital of Rs.5 crores,
  2. Post issue networth of Rs.20 crores,
  3. The minimum market capitalisation should be of Rs.50 crores. (The capitalisation will be calculated by multiplying the post issue subscribed number of Equity Shares with the Issue price) and
  4. The project/activity of the applicant must have been appraised by a financial institution as described in Section 4(a) of the Companies Act, 1956 or State Finance Corporation or Scheduled Commercial Bank with a paid-up capital of Rs.50 crores or Category I Merchant Banker with a networth of Rs.10 crores."
All the applications will continue to be scrutinised by the Listing Committee of the Exchange.
