BSE & ICSI inaugurate a Part - time course in Capital Markets

Dr. T. C. Nair, Whole-time Member, SEBI today inaugurated BTI-ICSI joint Part time Course in Capital Markets at a function organised at the International Convention Hall, Bombay Stock Exchange, Mumbai on January 03, 2008.

Ms. Preeti Malhotra, President, The ICSI, Shri B Narasimhan, Council Member, the ICSI & Programme Director and Mr. Rajnikant Patel, Managing Director & CEO, Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. addressed the inaugural session.

This programme is exclusively offered to the students and members of the ICSI. The course covers macro economics and its relation with capital markets, pricing & valuation of equity, book building, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, trading & settlement depositories and dematerialisation, role of derivatives in banks, rules, bye laws & regulations, FEMA & Money Laundering Act, Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, Foreign Exchange Market, Forfeiting, leasing, Factoring & Buyback of Shares, Mergers & Amalgamation, Corporate Governance , Reconstruction & Securitisation of Assets, etc. This course is designed in such a manner that it would provide value addition on theoretical and practical aspects of capital market and build up the confidence of professionals. It would also help the students who are the prospective professionals to acquire advanced knowledge on capital market.

This course is a part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with BSE Training Institute (BTI) to facilitate training programmes on themes of topical and professional interest and to regularly exchange resources of mutual interest.
