Media Release
TRADING SUSPENDED IN FOUR COMPANIES The stock markets are experiencing high volatility and many illiquid scrips especially in scrips B2 and Z Group are getting traded daily with unusual volumes coupled with rise in share prices. BSE has therefore decided to look into trading/price pattern of some of these scrips. Pending such investigation, as a proactive measure, it has decided to suspend trading in the following scrips for a period of three days i.e. from January 5 to 7, 2000.
BSE is also in the process of identifying some more scrips for such measures and the action taken in respect of them will be conveyed to the investing public in due course. Investors are once again advised in their own interest not to fall prey to any rumours circulated in the market and take the investment decision only on the basis of study of fundamentals of the company and corporate news emanating from them. These measures are initiated in the interest of the investing public.
