Earlier, the Exchange had announced shifting of Shaw Wallace & Co. Ltd. from BSE Mid-Cap Index to BSE Small-Cap Index w.e.f. July 13, 2009. Since trading in the shares of Shaw Wallace & Co. Ltd. shall be discontinued w.e.f. July 10, 2009, on account of merger with United Spirits Ltd., Shaw Wallace & Co. Ltd. shall be excluded from BSE Mid-Cap Index w.e.f. July 10, 2009.
