Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) which was founded in 1875 with 6 brokers in Mumbai has now grown into a giant institution with  874 registered brokers ( now refreed to as Members)  spread over 380 cities across the country.  BSE's Wide Area Network (WAN) connecting over 8,000 BSE Online Trading (BOLT) System Trader Work Stations (TWS) is one of the largest of its kind in the country.

With a view that both the Members as well as their associates and investors should receive an  efficient and integrated service,BSE has set up a dedicated  Member Services and Development Department .

Integrated Services

All issues addressed at One Stop

Member Services and Development Department is the single point interface for  addressing the Members' requirements and questions. across products such as Cash, Derivatives and Internet Trading, and processes such as Trading, Technology, Clearing and Settlement, Surveillance and Inspection, Membership, Training and  Corporate Information.

Relationship Managers

Personalised Service to Members 

Member Services and Development Department has an efficient mechanism of  'Relationship Managers. Each Manager maintains a database of and is responsible for providing comprehensive services to an assigned  group of Members.. The Relationship Managers as such become a single-point contact for the Members , saving them efforts and valuable time..

Technical Help Desk

The Systems Help Desk provides assistance on  system related issues concerning trading on BOLT, DTSS, BSE webx systems, etc. that are available through different data networks like. Managed Leased Data Network (MLDN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) through VSAT connectivity.

We Endeavour

  • To have closer interaction with the Members to understand their problems and suggest solutions Members are free to share with their respective Relationship Managers, the problems that they are facing while trading on BSE.The Members are regularly updated with the status of their problems registered with the Department

  • To be a single-window to attend to all queries of Members and provide quick response. By coordinating with other internal departments of BSE. The Relationship Managers undertake constant follow-up on the queries of the Members relating to the other  departments of BSE to ensure  expeditious resolution.
  •  To assist Members through training, publications and presentations for their clients/ sub-brokers/remesiers/investors. The advent of new products and systems in the Indian capital market has led to a need  to create awareness about the same.The Relationship Managers  provide necessary assistance to  the Members in conducting for their staff and associates specialised training programmes on various products / segments of BSE. The Relationship Managers also appraise the Members about any changes in operational procedures or any new developments at BSE.                
  • To expeditiously handle all issues/queries pertaining to Regional Stock Exchanges (RSEs).Regional Stock Exchanges (RSEs) in the country have acquired membership of BSE through the subsidiary route. Realising the business potential that these RSEs bring with them, some Relationship Managers have been deputed for handling the accounts only of the subsidiary companies of RSEs.

 

To obtain feedback from Members on the existing operational procedures.Periodic discussions are held with the Members and suggestions are solicited on the various operational issues, and efforts are made for an early implementation of worthy  suggestions.
